Yeah! So it’s the month of September. Personally, once I step into the month each year, I automatically develop a new aura and feeling probably because Christmas is knocking. Anyways, that’s not the reason for this though.
The feeling I told you I develop was because I had achieved all the goals I set for my self in the first half and in the first quarter. The joys that flood my soul anytime I think about this cannot be explained.
As the year 2020 gradually draws to a close and another new year prepares to gain entry, don’t you think it is high time you took a stock of your life’s activities thus far? While I ain’t disputing the fact that 2020 was a harvest of several challenges both planned and unplanned, nonetheless, several people had recorded giant feats and strides.
I am not trying to compare yuu with anyone. Believe me: you are unique, distinct and sui generis. I just wanted you to have a September to remember. You might wanna ask me how possible this is gonna be right? Don’t start racking your brains thinking I was gonna dish out some theories. Nah! Not at all. I was just gonna tell you some petty things you have to do and some habits you have to cultivate.
Now before I do that, let me quickly tell you that you shouldn’t hope for the less. But you see, success doesn’t happen because you sleep on the bed dreaming of a life on a bed of roses. Trust me, its very cool to develop the attitude of optimism. But, but, but, you have to mix your dose with what I usually call reality from a balanced perspective.
So back to my promise of what I wanted to tell you the other time about having a September to remember:
1. Be hopeful
Do not at anytime entertain the visitor called self-doubt who comes unannounced and wishes to be given a rousing welcome. Understand the fact that with the remaining time ahead, yuu can achieve your goals. This doesn’t matter how high it may be. Better still, shut your ears to the voice of critics who have no other duty than to spoil your day with disheartening comments.
2. Be thankful
Trust me, yuu cannot underestimate the power of gratitude especially when things are taking the downward turn. Have a list of things you have achieved or gotten and be thankful for it. How about that friend of yours? why not pick that phone and give a call to show your heart felt appreciation for the things he or she had done.
3. Be Realistic
Remember I told you earlier that yuu shouldn’t confuse been hopeful with been a realistic. Don’t assume its gonna be fine when yuu choose to remain in your comfort zone. Rise up and do something. Reach out to that party, take that course. Of a surety, it doesn’t bite.
You can see that I didn’t dish out theories or findings from a research. I only gave you some points which have worked for me and which I believe will do for you too.
What are your views about this? Why not pen them down in the comments section.
I do wish you a September you will always want to remember.
