Wow! This question popped in my head and I felt like sharing a little of what I gained few days ago while reading a book. Myles Munroe’s ‘The Principles and Power of Vision’ is one amazing book everyone must read really; you inclusive. Yes! You. If you are very conversant and particular about authors who talk vision and life’s principle; he, Dr. Myles is a spontaneous one, amongst others.
Being ‘sick’ is an understatement, because I somehow realised the huge expenses people without vision and clear purpose get to pay when they live life as if there’s no tomorrow. A walk through the uncertainty of life, one painted in the most unexpected yet achievable. How do I mean right? Yeah, you see, everyday, even seconds brings us closer to moments were we determine the life we desire, directly or indirectly. Being placed between these walls of choices would guarantee and propel one to take bold steps just to make it happen.
Confused? Hey, don’t be okay? We’re learning everyday, especially in seasons of making day count, and living a meaningful life we always strife just to restratigise and ultimately make the best out of life; which is absolutely awesome. Now! Let me ask you these questions. Where are you going in life? Are you happy with the life you’re living now; your job, the kinda friends you keep? Is there a headway with the choices you have made? Do you see yourself successful with what you love? Like the usual question asked: ‘Where do you see yourself in the next 5,10 years?
You know Dr. Myles said something. Honestly, I just feel I can give a screenshot of that page right now🙂. Yeah, he said a lot of people who work in well- endowed offices with fat compensations are truly miserable, though they might look all charming and in fact be the envy of others, but within their life is a mess. Why? Because they have no reason for living; they are busy all the week filling the gap for others but are so blank. They don’t feel fulfilled even after multiple and myriads of achievements. They still feel so empty. These ones are the kind of individuals who dread Mondays and are always eager for Saturdays – the weekend, to ease their head and enjoy. When you slide into any of the bars on such nights; you’d sure gon’ find some of them.
This feeling has trapped a lot of people to spending their whole incentives for the month on liquor; depression soon sets in and next, suicide seem to be the only option left of them. I’m pained when I see people of my age toiling away their responsibility called living. They have no reason for living, they only exist, though they have so much to live for.
Yes! you have a purpose for living okay? And until, you know it, you are nothing but a piping bag; as air is blown in, Puff! it’s out again, because the significance is just for a while. Your passion should drive you to a direction and not otherwise. Are you in line with your own passion or you were coarsed to doing what you don’t agree with?
Develop your hidden potentials. Stay fly. Suicide isn’t the best option. You’re so wrong if you ever think self-slaughter is next thing to do. You still have a whole lot to achieve my dear. Live life. I mean the real kind of life that speaks volume anywhere you find yourself. A landmark. A footprint. A life worth emulating, impactful and amazing.
But first, do you have a sense of of personal purpose?
