There are times we would want to start out a new idea, business or project, and having prepared well for it, mediocrity sets in, we suddenly feel incompetent. We are like, are this resources enough? Are these ideas enough? We feel we don’t have enough to start. This feeling comes once we begin to compare ourselves to others who are ahead of us. We tend to forget that every successful person started small, they began with the little they had. The idea of ‘he/she is better than I am’ only limits us and makes us unable to do great things.
It’s alright to have people who you look up to, probably your mentors. Its alright to have someone you aspire to be like, but not at the expense of your happiness.
The person you’re trying to be like should not make you feel like you don’t have what it takes to become the person you want to be. You’re not to compete with anyone, you’re meant to be the best you can be.
I would like to highlight some tips that can help you in being your best:
1.Move with people who inspire you to do great things and not the ones who make your ideas look silly.
2.Don’t be scared of failing, there’s always room for improvement. Heed to corrections and reasonable advise and keep moving.
3.Be sure you gather the necessary or important information you would for what ever you want to start doing. Ask the right people and don’t be shy of asking the right questions.
4. Let your inspiration come from within you. Don’t always depend on others to give you the inspiration you need. They may give you if they want to and if they don’t, you still keep going.
Whenever you feel like the energy is going down, remind yourself of why you first started. Don’t let anyone make you feel inferior. You’re the best version of yourself and you have all it takes to bring that dream or ideas to reality. As long as that idea came to you you’ve got the energy that is needed, all you need to do is to take the first step and the stairs will unfold.
You have all it takes!
