There is such a thing as results for what we do or refused to do. A lot of people have decided to sit on the fence when it comes to matters pertaining to life, they believe that when you’re neither here nor there, you won’t be affected. True! But then, it might not be you that will reap the consequences, it might be the next person, or the next generation.
As much as we have young adults that have decided to make a difference, we also have those that have decided to pass through life without any form of impact at all. It is disheartening to know that where we can speak up is the juncture where quite a number of us have decided to keep quiet, but then for how long? You perceive that person who talks about doing something as though they don’t know what they are saying, some of us even go ahead to criticize them, let me ask you, what exactly have you done? How many people will come forward tomorrow and call you blessed because you have impacted their lives in one way or the other?
I am not willing to motivate you, I want you to consider the consequences of doing nothing because yeah, it has its own consequences. You can complain and criticize everything, what have you decided you’ve had enough of and you want changed or gone? Until we have young adults who are willing to make a difference, to impact lives, to ensure a better future for the generation of our future sons and daughters, then the change might not be easily effected.
If you still think it doesn’t concern you, don’t worry, take the back seat. I wonder what you will say when your children ask why you gave them a world of misery, pain, poverty and shallow mindedness. For every action or inaction, there is a consequence.
