Life is a race track, invaded by eclectic people, although there’s no opponent, everyone sprints to reach “their” finish line. Have you ever watched athletes run? One very cogent thing I observe is many at times, those that seem to be getting it from the very beginning miss it in the course of the race. You might say they blew all the stamina from the very beginning, you might equally say they lost focus because the public was applauding them or somehow, their opponents outran them. Whatever your take is, never forget this fact: you have an end goal, you’ve got to be deliberately involved in pastimes that’d motivate you to keep moving.
These so-called athletes have coaches who prepare them for the big day, do you know you are not alone? God enrolled you for the race and He knows how fit you are. He has gotten you this far, will He abandon you now? The story you are about to read aroused my soul, I’m certain you’d be arrested by the time you’re through.
Margaret started her life on a very good note, it was obvious she had a bright future. The aura around her was unexplainable as she had her way around things. Human nature set in and she began to see herself higher than she was because of the encomium she always received from friends and family. She got out of college and her life took another turn. The popular sweet girl who should have gotten a proper job and a decent life suddenly stopped sparkling. Let’s simply say her life was on halt. She questioned God and equally questioned her actions. For five years, her life receded like a reversing car, her buddies who she outshone in her prime seemed to be performing better than her. A lot of them got married, were gainfully employed and living the lives they wished for. If you were in her shoes, you’d presumably commit suicide.
Since worrying wasn’t doing her any good, she decided to enrol in an IT institute. Earlier, she envisioned being a Software developer, so, she focused on learning all it’d take to actualize her dreams. Two months into the training, her boss noticed how enthusiastic she was and this incited him to increase her workload. Fast forward to one year and seven months, she developed her first Mobile App. The idea was pitched, a programming company bought it and compensated her handsomely. Her sharp boss revealed his interest in her and today, they are happily married with kids.
Points from the story:
• Never think your life would go in the same direction as others.
• Though you fall along the way, get your acts together and keep moving.
• You should never be devoured by your awful circumstances, God’s got you. He probably allowed this come your way so you can be redirected to your origin.
• Carefully make the right choices so you don’t miss the trophy that awaits you.
• Blessings come in disguise. Don’t underrate your condition.
• Be patient and let God have His way.
Margaret’s friends got married before her, they got wonderful jobs and lived large. She learnt how to stand the test of time, today she possesses what they have and more.
I believe life is a Bed of Roses, prune the garden and the thorns will wither. As you journey in this year, understand time and season, run at God’s pace and don’t envy anyone.
On your mark, get set, GO!
