Christmas is just around the corner and in all honesty, we all need money to treat ourselves. This might appear funny: when there’s no money, people develop one illness or the other (you can call it moneylaria). I have decided to give us hints on how to make legit money this festive season, I urge you all to try them out and give your testimonies.
Wanna make some cool cash? Do these:
1. Use your Car: lots of us have cars but we haven’t realize they are good assets. Who says you can’t pick up people at the bus stop on your way home. I’m super sure you have people in your vicinity who follow the same route as you. Give them lifts and save them the stress of standing by the road or joining long queues. That little change they’ve give you will cover your fuel fee.
2. Run Errands: this should help students and unemployed graduates. Everyone wants to buy something in the market this festive period and you are probably sitting at home doing nothing. If you’ve got working-class people around you (who don’t have the time to go to Balogun, Mile 12 market, etc, you can offer to help at a price. Initially, it will sound absurd but I’m sure they’d buy the idea. Do that for just 3 people and thank me later. However, you must be trustworthy.
3. Sell old stuff: you probably have old clothes, shoes and novels scattered in your house. You haven’t realised some people prefer to go for second-hand stuff since they can’t afford new ones. Find an Okrika merchant and sell your old clothes to them. You’d surely make some money.
4.Become a Virtual Assistant: this is the 21st Century and people prefer to work from home. Put up your CV and let recruiters know you are available to work from home as an assistant or Business Development Manager. They might not pay you as much as you’d get if you go to work every day but you’d definitely get something good.
Note: No Scam!
5. Cook/Bake: are you a very good cook? Stop wasting those skills girl. Identify people who are too busy to cook and offer your services. Baking isn’t an exception. Everyone wants to eat cupcakes on Christmas day, bake and give people samples. If they like them, they’d patronise you.
Little things we overlook turn out to be out breakthrough. You never can tell, you know. Bring out the entrepreneur in you and make money this festive period. Like I always mention, there are loads of opportunities around you, explore!
