Wake up sleepy head (LOL), it’s the last month already! This year is bidding us farewell and you can’t be caught unaware. I can remember vividly how I shared my 2018 story last year and it’s so astonishing how year 2019 rode so fast. Did you ride along? Were you a bystander? Did you make tremendous achievements? Are you on the same spot you were last year? Whatever your response is, it doesn’t change the fact that time and chance have shown us their mannerism again.
That you are alive, sane and reading this article shows you have every reason to be grateful to God. Sad but true, not everyone who read the article I posted this time last year was given the opportunity to read this. I believe you should say: Thank You, Jesus. Yeah, yeah, we had a lot of plans for 2019. I’m sure you thought you’d be married by now or probably gainfully employed. Oh, that’s not yours! You planned you’d be in Canada chilling in the snow (LOL). Reality dawned on you and you are still here. Hey! Now is not the time to dwell on unachieved goals, now is the time to carefully look back and detect where things went wrong and of course plan, so you don’t have a replay of what happened this year.
Sometimes, it’s actually not your fault. It’s God’s way of letting you know He’s got better plans for you and whether you like it or not, you’ve got to stick with what He has in store for you. Plans made without including God or seeking His face on issues that concern our lives is just a waste of time. He knows what you have on your mind now and He’s waiting to see if you’d invite Him. He won’t force anything on you, so, He’d allow you do what you want. You know, He’s really gracious! The moment He notices you are on a slippery slope, He’d cut it all off. That’s the point where you begin to question Him: “why me?”, “Does my friend have two heads?”, etc. I keep mentioning this and I’d state it again. Everyone’s got an appointed time, wait for yours. Just before you give up on life, its best you comprehend now that your time to shine is just around the corner.
Everyone is broadcasting their achievements on social media and you are probably feeling downcast. Hello! Stop it! Wake up! What to do? Review your life, your activities this year and where you went wrong. Ask God questions and wait patiently for His response. He’d definitely give you instructions on what to do as you step into the new year.
Don’t allow the end of the year rush get the better part of you.
