It’s official! You had six months to test the waters and get yourself together. The early stage of a thing is usually challenging because it is a period where you launch into the deep. Have you all heard the adage: Morning shows the day? What is your interpretation? I am so sure you started the year with high hopes and you had a lot of things planned out but somehow you find yourself in a fix and it seems as though those plans are unrealistic or you feel you messed up from the onset and it’s too late to join the train. You wake up every morning blaming yourself for things you have done wrong forgetting the clock keeps ticking, before you could utter Jack Robinson, the first half of the year is bidding you farewell.
What’s your excuse? Were you too busy with other things? Did one external factor or the other slow you down? Did that person you were counting on disappoint you? Whatever the reason may be, you can not afford to waste any more time. July is just around the corner and you must dive into it with the intention of getting back at the first six months. Check yourself now! How prepared are you to face what is ahead of you? Your attitude and zeal determines how much you would thrive in the second half of the year.
As much as you feel downtrodden, I would like you to position yourself properly for the task ahead. By now, you should have identified the gaps and areas where you failed and reasons for such failures. Ok! This is what you should do: check your goals and ask yourself: do I really want these? You see, sometimes we think some things are good for us but in the real sense, they don’t count. What do you really need? Why do you need it? How would you achieve it? My article on misplaced priorities will guide you.
Having answered these questions, you would find out no one has to remind you before you implement them. Your goals don’t have to be lengthy, what’s the essence of setting goals that you cannot meet up with? I wonder! Less is more!!!!
It would be a disaster if having learnt from the past six months, you do not achieve anything at the end of 2019. Wake up!!!! Yes you, wake up! Put yourself together and welcome almighty July with a huge smile.
Say Hello July!!!
