Have you ever sat back to think about what being “unstoppable” really means? As you know, life is full of weird things that are capable of distracting one from achieving his/ her purpose. Circumstances sometimes appear frustrating, there are pressures and intimidation everywhere. You become unstoppable the moment you attain a level where no one or any circumstance can hinder you from doing that which you want to do and when you make up your mind that nothing, no matter how challenging it might appear can restrain you, you will definitely reach the goals you set. I have come to realize that everyone has the potential to become unstoppable and possessing this ability requires asking yourself these three questions. They are simple but powerful.
The first question you need to ask yourself is “what exactly do I want?”. Define what you want for yourself and what you want your future to look like. What is your personal definition of Success? Success has been defined as the achievement of one’s aim or goals. Going by this definition, what are your goals? What are you aiming at? You cannot just keep working with the mindset that one day you will succeed without having a goal you are pursuing. Remember, you cannot hit a target you do not see. Someone might ask, is that really necessary? Yes, it is! When you have a clear understanding of what you want, you begin to live an ideal, purposeful, positive and organized life. This will by default make you move towards those things that are more important to you which will create a sense of inspiration to forge ahead. Human beings are logically designed to be motivated by purpose and desires.
Another thing you must put into consideration is; “why do I want this thing?”. Why are you aiming at success? Why do you need that huge amount of money? When you can detect genuine reasons for pursuing those goals, you become more excited about them. The more you ruminate on them, the clearer they become and as you get more fascinated about them, the more the hunger that arises in you. If your dream is to become a very wealthy person in the nearest future, think about the honour, fame and influence that would come with it, not forgetting the number of lives you would impact. Ensure you look up to great men and women that have influenced the world through their resilience. Indirectly, you would attract great people into your life and overcome every form of fear and negativity.
Having done that, the last question to ask yourself is “how will I achieve this?”. What are the things you need to put in place? What are the prices you need to pay? You must understand clearly those “prices” you must pay before getting the “prize”. What challenges are you likely to face? People forget that there are sacrifices to make while trying to get to the top. Understand your strengths, weakness and the skills you need to acquire before becoming an expert in whatever field you have chosen.
However, you must know that all these are best done in writing. The best way to think is on paper. Someone said and I quote: ”an idea not written down is just a desire, a desire written down is a goal, a goal without a plan is just a wish“. By doing this, your idea becomes real, you get a record of your development and your sense of fulfilment increases. Human beings have the tendency to be forgetful, put your ideas into writing. There are benefits in record keeping.
